Our 3-Fold Mission
#2.) Meet basic physical needs:
James 2:15-17 "If a brother or sister is naked and destitute of daily food, and one of you says to them, 'Depart in peace, be warm and filled,' but you do not give them the things which are needed for the body, what does it profit? Thus also faith by itself, if it does not have works is dead."
Proverbs 30:8-9 "Give me neither poverty or riches - Feed me with the food allotted to me; Lest I be full and deny you, and say, 'Who is the Lord?' Or lest I be poor and steal, and profane the name of my God."
As Christians we are all called to treat our neighbors as our self.
Providing for the immediate physical needs of others in concrete and tangible ways is one of the most effective tools we have to demonstrate the transforming love of Jesus Christ.
We also believe that it is difficult for people to grow as human beings or as Christians while they struggle to meet their basic needs.
What are we doing currently?
- We work through local pastors and our Tijuana Ministry administrator to identify, prioritize, and authenticate various physical needs.
- We help pastors and their families directly with donated funds, foodstuffs, and clothing.
- We distribute donated foodstuffs, warm clothing, and blankets to local families and communities with the help of local pastors and our Ministry Administrator.
- We transport local persons to clinics for emergency medical needs.
- We facilitate the work of missionary teams who come down to build houses for needy families.
What do we have planned in the future?
- To continue and expand our basic assistance activities.
- To continue and increase housebuilding efforts commensurate with the number of visiting teams and the Ministry's capability to facilitate those teams.
- Sponsor short term field medical clinics.
